Abstract: Unter Schulentwicklung wird meist eine bewusste und systematische Weiterentwicklung einer Einzelschule verstanden. Dies soll eine Steigerung der Wirksamkeit von Unterricht und Erziehung bewirken. Zunehmend werden Schulen im Rahmen ihrer Entwicklungsprozesse von Schulentwicklungsberater*innen begleitet. In diesem Artikel soll auf Basis der Forschungsergebnisse des Autors auf die Besonderheit von Schule als Expert*innenorganisation, das Besondere am systemischen Beratungsansatz, die förderlichen Voraussetzungen für Beratung und auf Praxisempfehlungen für Berater*innen eingegangen werden.Abstract School-development is most often defined as a deliberate and systematic advancement of individual schools. This is intended to improve the effectiveness of teaching and education. Schools are increasingly being supported through their development process by school-development counselors. The objective of this article is to discover the unique potential of schools as an organization of experts, the key aspects of systemic counseling, the requirements for consultation and to focus on practical recommendations for counselors - all based on the scientific research results of the author.
