Abstract The number and amount of chemicals being produced and used is still increasing. There are two ways to minimize negative impacts for the environment: On the one hand, European Policy is renewing the legislation concerning chemicals. On the other hand, the challenge for producers and users is to substitute dangerous chemical in a cooperative process.
