The Sustainable School-Environmental Award Program (SLAAS) is a program whereby schools acculturate environmental education by assimilating environmental education and noble environmental values into the management, curriculum, co-curriculum and greening aspects in schools directly by creating daily practices in-line with the sustainable development concept. This study intended to identify the environmental literacy level of students in a SLAAS, which involved three variables, namely knowledge, attitude and behaviour towards the environment. All three variables focused on four similar sub-variables, such as saving electricity and water, recycling activities and greening. This study used the survey method by applying questionnaires that involved 100 respondents consisting of Form Four students from a SLAAS in Johor. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and inferences that was run through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 software. The findings showed that the student′s level of knowledge and attitude towards the environment was high, while the behaviour towards the environment was good. Thus, it indicated the existence of a relationship between knowledge, attitude and behaviour of students towards the environment among students in a sustainable school. Besides that, the findings also indicated the effectiveness of the SLAAS Program to produce a generation that possesses an appreciable level of environmental literacy. This study also showed that the SLAAS Program had a positive impact in increasing the student′s environmental literacy whereby an environmental-concerned generation was produced.
