Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die Leistungen der Europäischen Union (EU) im Bereich Bildung im Rahmen ihrer Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Es wird auf Institutionen, den Umfang und Modalitäten dieser ‚Bildungshilfe′ hingewiesen. Des Weiteren wird die Einbettung der EU-Entwicklungspolitik in die UN-Agenda 2030 mit ihren 17 Zielen zur Nachhaltigen Entwicklung und im Besonderen das Ziel 4 zu Bildung analysiert. Schließlich unterstreicht der Artikel die Bedeutung der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit in den Ländern Europas. Abstract The article offers a survey of the contribution of the European Union (EU) in the field of education as part of the framework of its overall development co-operation. Institutions, volume and modalities of this ′education aid′ are highlighted. In addition, the article analyses the integration of the EU development policy into the UN Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals and especially Goal 4 on education. Finally, the article underlines the relevance of development education in the European countries.
