Abstract: The strategy of co-producing scientific evidence to support policymaking on climate change in developing countries brings opportunities for capacity building and quality enhancement of research and policy making. This article analyzes the processes implemented in Chile, Colombia and Peru by the MAPS programme and highlights key contributions to strengthening climate change policy formulation in developing countries.
