Abstract: Increased awareness of environmental issues is leading to the introduction of environmental law courses into the undergraduate curriculum. This article discusses some of the issues that accompany the introduction and development of an undergraduate environmental law course. The first part is an inquiry of initial considerations of curriculum development including the instruction unit, student needs, choice of instructor, and available texts. The second part deals with materials that might be covered under categories of pollution prevention, conservation and sustainable systems, land use and local government, and cleanup and restoration.
