Kurzinfo: Action research, as we understand it, is no new invention which has to be learned by teachers. Rather it is happening every day in good educational practice. It is another term for reflective practice and many professional practitioners have conducted action research without dubbing it so. They have had their work guided by a personal view of what is of education value, they have reflected on their everyday practices in the light of this background and tried to develop them.
