Kurzinfo: Environment and School Initiatives is an international project coordinated by OECD's Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI). The idea was born on the occasion of the Conference of Ministers of Education of the OECD member states in Paris when the former Austrian minister of education underlined that environmental education was one of the most important priorities for the future development of education. This statement was taken up in form of a draft project which was realised since 1986 as an USI-project.
