Zusammenfassung:Erwachsenenbildung wird in den Kontext der südosteuropäischen Transformationsgesellschaften der EU-Donauraumstrategie gestellt und Herausforderungen, Diskursbedarfe und Leitideen werden diskutiert. Die Funktion der Erwachsenenbildung wird dabei aus einer evolutionstheoretischen Perspektive im Anschluss an Alfred K. Treml mit den Dimensionen Entgrenzung, Beschleunigung, Entwertung und Befreiung beschrieben. Abstract: Adult education is put into the context of the South-Eastern European transformation society of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region und challenges, reasons for discussion and central ideas are discussed. The function of adult education is described from an evolutionary perspective following Alfred K. Treml with the dimensions blurring the boundaries, acceleration, devaluation and liberation.
