Zusammenfassung: Globales Lernen hat auch in die naturwissenschaftliche Bildung Eingang gefunden. Lehrende naturwissenschaftlicher Themen zeigen sich jedoch häufig zurückhaltend, wenn es um die Thematisierung interdisziplinärer und globaler Aspekte nachhaltiger Entwicklung geht. Der vorliegende Beitrag möchte aufzeigen, dass die Integration von Globalem Lernen in den Biologieunterricht notwendig und sinnvoll ist. Zwei exemplarische Kontexte sollen verdeutlichen, dass Globales Lernen am Beispiel der Nutzung natürlicher Ressourcen und des Verlusts der Biodiversität attraktiv und Gewinn bringend für den naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht ist. Abstract: Global Education is now an important dimension of science education. However, educators of science-related subjects often show reservations if it comes to an integration of interdisciplinary and global aspects of sustainable development into science learning. Yet, the current paper argues that such integration is important and sensible. Two exemplary contexts of an overuse of natural resources and biodiversiry loss shall illustrate that Global Education is attractive and useful for science education.
